Louis Schramm Sr. entered into the transportation business in the late 1800's with horses and
wagons, hauling coal in the Chelsea district of New York City. Then, as moving of household
goods became a large part of his business, he became a founder of Allied Van Lines. His son,
Louis Schramm Jr., became president of Allied and remained so for 10 years until his death.

The son of Louis Schramm Jr., Louis C. Schramm (Budd), carried on the trucking tradition and
formed Budd Enterprises, Ltd., with his wife, Nadine Schramm in 1979. Both have taken great
pride in the entrepreneurial skills taught to them by their ascendants, but it was Budd's family
who had a long background in trucking.

Budd passed away in 1990 and Nadine Schramm became president. Since then, she has
more than quadrupled the size of the business. Additionally, Nadine founded Budd Leasing,
Ltd., to meet the growing needs of the movie and television industries in the New York
metropolitan area. Keeping customer satisfaction as a main priority, both companies have had
long-standing, loyal relationships with their clients.

Equipment includes trucks, ranging in length from 18 to 28 feet, equipped with air-ride
suspension, large lift-gates, belly boxes and e-tracks. Budd Enterprises and Budd Leasing
supplies open- and closed-top trucks, flatbed trucks, and tractor trailer rigs.
